Everything in one number

Checking, brokerage, retirement, 529s, and credit cards roll up into a single net worth that updates every night.

Spending that sorts itself

Transactions are categorized automatically. You correct the ones it gets wrong, and it learns the merchant for next time.

Investments you can actually see

Positions rolled up across every account, so you know how much of your net worth rides on one ticker.

Before you connect a bank

Connecting a bank account to something a friend built is a reasonable thing to hesitate over. Here is everything you'd want to know.

Do you ever see my bank password?
No. The bank login happens inside Plaid — the same service Venmo, Robinhood, and most budgeting apps use. Athene receives a read-only connection and never sees your username or password.
Can Athene move my money?
No. The connection is read-only. It can see balances and transactions. It cannot transfer, pay, or trade anything.
Where does my data live?
In a single private database that only this app talks to. Bank connections are encrypted at rest.
Who can see my transactions?
You, and anyone you invite into your household. Separate households never see each other's data, and your data is never sold, shared, or used for advertising.
What if you stop working on this?
You can export everything to an Excel workbook, and delete your account and all its data in one click, any time. Your data is not held hostage.
